J'habite Paris

#Landorlondoninparis

I have been here, in Charles' apartment, for just under a week and can't believe I am (pretty much) a quarter way through this experience, I knew it wouldn't be long enough!

Paris is not dissimilar to London, it's busy, it's bustling and it's brilliant. There are things that Paris does very well of course; le pain, le fromage and le vin rouge, but I am yet to be blown away by the croissants (I have bought them from a different place each time) but my search continues.

I'm finding myself looking around a lot more than I usually would do in London. Charles' apartment, is only 30 minutes walk to Landor Paris, and I take route detours to see more each time. I'm slowly mastering spending time by myself, I was good at it before now, but living alone is very different, so I'm learning a lot (or just watching considerably more TV).

I haven't properly explored wider Paris yet other than my commute 'bubble', although I did take a trip to the Champs Elysée and the Eiffel tower on Wednesday evening. It was beautiful, vibrant and brilliant, everything postcards promise. I've stayed late at work a lot this first week (universal Landor problem), but I am saving the top Parisian spots for my two weekend visitors.

My French language I hope is improving; I understand a lot more than I can converse back, a welcome time 'out of my comfort zone'. I am fortunate though that briefing and 'crits', thus far, have been in English.

Bon weekend tous!
