Semaine Deux
LE CIRCUIT PARISIEN
This week, I fully immersed myself in Parisian life with a very french circuits class on Monday evening. It was a cultural experience, with an 'aerobic' warm up that really tested my coordination in another language, thankfully a few girls from work assisted with translation, and there's no photographic evidence. I then meandered back to the flat and came across a feline in a florists, and the 'Republique Sq' statue that I walk by each day was lit up in amazing colours. I keep spotting lots of little incidental pieces of 'street art', which are a pleasure to find; I live by the gorilla and the infamous 'Liberty's'.
On Tuesday I met the lovely Alex after work; she happened to be in Paris for the week at an Interior Design 'tradeshow', and staying just down the road from work. We had lots to catch up on and enjoyed a Croque Monsieur and vin blanc, accompanied by her great colleague too!
Wednesday evening I popped across to Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature, in a hope to visit for their 'late night' opening, only to find myself in a queue for an installation event. Of which I didn't have a ticket, nor any idea of the subject. Nonetheless, I then walked across to the Pompidou, to the Cy Twombly exhibition; there's a few photos of my favourites! It was great to see the museum so busy at night, and the shop as usual surpassed expectations, I may have to go back!
